Manoj Mitra The Legend

Manoj Mitra was a great dramatist and a late veteran actor. When he passed away, he was 86 years old. His passing has caused sadness in the cultural community. The veteran actor died Tuesday morning, according to family sources.

For the past few months, he has been ill. In September, he spent a few days in the hospital as well. The war of duty was won by him. Indomitable vigor triumphed against physical disease. When he recovered, he went home. But in the start of November, he abandoned everyone. Actor Manoj Mitra died Tuesday morning at approximately 8:50 a.m., according to writer Amar Mitra, the veteran actor’s brother.

It is known that he was admitted to Calcutta Heart Institute due to physical problems. Sodium-potassium-creatinine problems were also reported. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed grief over his death.

Manoj Mitra was born in 1938, prior to independence. On December 22, 1938, Manoj was born in Satkhira, which is today in Bangladesh. instruction from the University of Calcutta’s Scottish Church College. taught in universities and colleges. The performance of “Pather Panchali” took place on February 10, 1958. Manoj as Pranab and Parthapratim Chowdhury as Apu’s friend. Back then, he wrote stories. Manoj wrote “Mrityur Kahe Jal,” his debut play, in an effort to promote Parthapratim.

That drama was written by Manoj in 1959. The play ‘Mrityur Kahe Jal’ was originally performed around the close of the 1950s. Manoj Mitra has since penned a series of classic plays.  In 1972, his fame spread more widely with ‘Chak Bangga Madhu’.

 

 

His performance in several films including ‘Bancharamer Bagan’, ‘Ghare Bayre’, ‘Shatru’ won the hearts of the audience. His performance in the film ‘Adalat O Eket Mey’ has made a place in the history of Bengali cinema.

As time progressed, from stage to screen, Manoj won hearts as an actor day by day. What just won the hearts of fans? He has received many awards day by day.

He was suffering from senile illness for quite some time. Manoj Mitra was admitted to Calcutta Heart Institute in Salt Lake. His condition deteriorated on Monday night. All finished at 8.50 am on Tuesday. ‘Bancharam’ left the arranged ‘garden’ and crossed over to the land of eternal peace.
