Bobby Islam Manoj Mishra get into a physical brawl outside DCP office

Odia director Bobby Islam and actor Manoj Mishra got into a physical brwal outside DCP office in Bhubaneswar. The two were called in there to talk about the amicable solution for the ongoing dispute between them.

The tensions between director Bobby Islam and actor Manoj Mishra got intense after they got into a fight outside the DCP office in Bhubaneswar. The duo were called for an amicable solution between the two.

However, it turned ugly as they both reached the DCP office. The video of the brawl has now gone viral on social media. Odia film industry actor Manoj Mishra first landed in legal soup after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against him in Cuttack City on November 12. Later, the actor apologized.

The FIR was filed by the Odia Film and Television Directors’ Association against the actor at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Cuttack. The complaint alleged that he has been defaming the industry’s artists and directors.

Manoj Mishra was accused of threatening and assaulting Bobby Islam and another director Jyoti Das outside the DCP office in Bhubaneswar. Bobby alleged that he tried to attack him and abused him. Earlier, Bobby Islam filed an FIR against Manoj Mishra in Cuttack City where he alleged that he received death threats.

In his FIR filed on November 20, he claimed that threats came from an unknown number through a WhatsApp call and the culprit used the name of Manoj Mishra. He also stated in his complaint that if he is harmed, Manoj Mishra should be held responsible.

Later, Manoj Mishra filed an FIR with Chandrasekharpur police against Bobby Islam. According to Manoj’s statement in the press, Bobby Islam tried to attack him and the director Jyoti Das, adding, “I was in a state of fear for which I had come in a police vehicle. Though Manoj Mishra apologized before DCP, I am still in a state of fear. He proved that he is a true villain.”

 

Director Jyoti Das shared that Manoj Mishra has been writing negative posts and tried to attack him near the DCP office. He further added that the way he behaved is “totally unfortunate: and he should mend his ways.

Calling himself a “cool” person, actor Manoj Mishra alleged that Bobby Islam abused him and he got angry, adding that he is not a “goonda”. He also said, “The word, “Randi Pua” should not be used in any movie and I stick to it. We will oppose along with those who are talking about women’s safety.”

He also alleged that Bobby Islam made abusive statements against the actor’s marriage and that is the reason he lodged an FIR, further clarifying that he apologized only for today’s incident and behavior.

“We looked into the criminal part based on the complaints lodged in the police station and counselled them not to indulge in mudslinging,” said DCP Pinak Mishra. Police said a case of criminal intimidation was reported at Chandrasekharpur police station based on Manoj’s complaint. Another case was registered against Manoj at Dargahabazar police station in Cuttack following Bobby’s complaint.

“Apparently, the bone of contention is Manoj’s opposition to the use of a word in the title of a film that a producer is making. On the other hand, Bobby alleged that Manoj has been casting aspersions on the Odia film industry,” a police officer said.

Asked about Friday morning’s incident, Manoj told TOI, “Bobby used the first word of the movie to call me, giving a derogatory twist when he landed at the DCP office. I didn’t attack anybody. Bobby even used the word for me at a show. That’s why I lodged a police complaint.” Despite repeated attempts, Bobby was unavailable for comment.
